After beaching, with wet hair and salty salty skins, we headed out for Point Loma. I read it has one of the most spectacular views of sunset. We rushed with our cop car, speeding our way through traffic to get there before sunset.
Damn state park was closed. Closes at 4:30pm. Who gets to watch sunset at 4:30???
Anyway the Navy guard (it’s in a Navy base) suggested another sunset viewing point, so we rushed again! This time, to Sunset Cliffs.
It was. The best sunset scene. I have ever encountered. EVER! (Did I already said ever?)
People were there already; just chillin’ or being all romantic. What’s 4 guys and a girl to do? Why eat snacks and take pictures of course!

Did I mention that the view was awesome? Waves smashing against the cliffs. A huge ball of yellowy light slowly descending in the horizon. Ambiance colors of orange, pink and purple. Navy ships adding elements to the view. It was amazing!
One gets mesmerized. I went to take a closer shot. Roomy held on tight to my bag thinking the winds can drag my tiny self to the ocean, who’s gonna pay half the rent?
A sunset we are sure to remember.
After that we went home. Did I forget to mention we had a cop car? Yep, just put a little 20 dollar siren and we’re good to go. Kidding! Here’s our Ford Victoria. It was so huge, I couldn’t reach the pedals if I wanted to lean back. Tsk!
